Question: Do you have any practical examples which have resulted in the need to have the SBX type seal ring? Could this air pocket problem also be a problem with ASME RTJ flanges? Answer: The problems solved by SRX or SBX ring gaskets can occur with any RTJ flanges. See Test Rack Tips for a good example of a problem everyone testing RTJ flanged equipment has faced.
