To enable cookies using Internet Explorer 5.5 and some earlier versions:

Right on Internet Explorer on your desktop.
Left click on properties.
Left click on the Security tab.
Left click on Custom Level.
Scroll to cookies, click on Enable.
Now left click on OK, Yes and OK again.
