1.0 General

WOODCO USA offers supplements to general catalogs in order to provide more detailed information about specific equipment.

WOODCO USA intends this supplement to communicate the availability of standard, high quality, connector accessories for API flanges and equipment.

1.2 Connector Accessories Include

Tap End Studs

Wrenches (Hammer Type)

Connector accessories described in this catalog meet API and other national and/or international standards, for attaching flanges and other end connectors, to achieve a leak free and secure joint.

1.4 Specification

WOODCO USA supplied accessories first comply with API specifications when applicable. When no API specification applies, WOODCO USA complies with ASME or ASTM requirements. When national or international standards do not include such items of equipment, WOODCO USA shall confirm that such equipment meets manufacturers' and buyer's written specifications.

1.6 Material

Ring Gaskets meet the requirements of API Spec. 6A and ASTM B16.20.  For a table of ring gasket standard materials and gasket hardness, see Table 2 of this catalog.

Unless otherwise specified, soft iron and low carbon steel ring gaskets shall have zinc plating.

Bolts and Tap End Studs meet the requirements of ASTM A320 GR-L7. (WOODCO USA  shall  always   substitute GR-L7 bolts for GR-B7). Nuts meet the requirements of ASTM A193 GR-2H. For a list of gaskets, and studs and nuts arranged by the flanges they fit, see Table 1 of this catalog.

Wrenches shall meet manufacturers' written specifications. For a list of wrench sizes, see Figure 15 and Table 10 of this catalog.
